Ultimate solution: Uninstall Babylon and all is features completely

In order to uninstall Babylon and all is features completely, just follow Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3.

1) Uninstall Babylon Software:

Babylon removal instructions:

1. Go to the Start Menu. Select Control Panel ? Add/Remove Programs
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, select Control Panel ? Uninstall a Program



2. Search for Babylon in the list. Select the program and click Remove button. 
If you are using Windows Vista/7, click Uninstall up near the top of that window.

 

3. Click Uninstall. Then restart your computer. Babylon should be gone. 
Anyway it will be better uninstall Babylon using Revo uninstaller software. Chose Advanced' methode for deep and thorough scan to find all of the application's leftover information in the registry and on the hard drive.
 




 
 

2) Change Babylon Home Page (Internet Explorer \ Firefox \ Google Chrome):

Internet Explorer 9 

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

  2. Navigate to the webpage you want to set as the home page.

  3. Click the Tools button Picture of the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
  4. Do one of the following:

    • To set the current webpage as the home page, click Use current.

    • To reset the home page, click Use default.

    • To set a blank home page, click Use blank.

  5. Click OK.

Firefox  

Open the web site you want to set as your home page. If you want a blank home page, open a new tab.

Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button, and release.

Click Yes to set this as your home page.

 

Google Chrome  

Follow these steps to adjust your homepage settings:

  1. Click the spanner icon spanner icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on a Chromebook).
  3. Click the Basics tab.
    • Set your homepage
      Choose the page that you'd like for your homepage in the "Homepage" section. You can select the New Tab page as your homepage. To use another page, select "Open this page" and enter the web address of the page that you'd like to use.
    • Add the home button to the browser toolbar
      Want a button on the browser toolbar that you can click to open your homepage? Select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Toolbar" section. 
    • Set your homepage as your startup page
      To see your homepage whenever you open Google Chrome, go to the "On startup" section and select "Open the home page"



 
 

3) Remove Babylon search provider & Uninstall Babylon Toolbar Software



Remove Toolbar and "Search the web (Babylon)" in Internet Explorer:

1. Go to the Start Menu. Select Control Panel ? Add/Remove Programs
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, select Control Panel ? Uninstall a Program



2. Search for Babylon toolbar on IE in the list. Select the program and click Remove button. 
If you are using Windows Vista/7, click Uninstall up near the top of that window.

 

3. Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools ? Manage Add-ons.



4. Select Toolbars and Extensions. Uninstall everything related to Babylon Ltd. from the list: Babylon toolbar, Babylon toolbar helper, Babylon IE plugin, babylonToolbar.com, etc. 

 

5. Select Search Providers. First of all, choose Bing search engine and make it your default search provider (set as default). Then select Search the web (Babylon) and click Remove button to uninstall it (lower right corner of the window).

 

6. Go to Tools ? Internet Options. Select General tab and click Use default button or enter your own website, e.g. gooog.com instead of search.babylon.com. Click OK to save the changes.

 

Remove Babylon Toolbar and "Search the web (Babylon)" in Mozilla Firefox:

1. Open Mozilla Firefox. Go to Tools ? Add-ons.



2. Select ExtensionsUninstall the following extension: Babylon 1.1.9 To remove Babylon Toolbar.

 

3. Click the small magnifier icon at the right top corner as shown in the image below. Select Manage Search Engines... from the list. 

 

4. Select Search the web (Babylon) and click Remove button. Click OK to save the changes. 

 

5. Go to Tools ? Options. Under the General tab reset the startup homepage.

 

Remove "Search the web (Babylon)" in Google Chrome:

 
1. Click on Customize and control Google Chrome icon and select Options.



2. Choose Basic Options. Change Google Chrome homepage to google.com or any other and click the Manage search engines... button.

 

3. Select Google from the list and make it your default search engine. 

 

4. Select Search the web (Babylon) from the list remove it by clicking the "X" mark as shown in the image below



* Tab issue:

In case you open a new tab, and Babylon Search still appears, please do the following:

For FireFox:

Write in the adress line "about:config" and enter. Confirm the message. Look for "Babylon". Open the entries and empty them out.

For Internet Explorer:

Open your Internet Explorer browser, click on "Tools", then "Internet Options" and in the section "Tabs" click on "Settings". It will open a new window, on the option "When a new tab is opened, open:" in the drop-down menu please choose "Your first homepage". Then click OK, Apply and OK.
